Introducing Turquoise Tales, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Native languages and cultures through words and pictures.

The creators of Blue Corn Comics and PEACE PARTY, the multicultural comic book featuring Native Americans, are now offering their services to tribes and tribal organizations. The goal: to produce comics and other graphics media that will let Indians tell their own stories in their own languages. We'll provide the writing, artistic, editorial, and printing skills needed to produce high-quality comics. You'll provide the language and cultural knowledge needed to make the stories true to your time-honored beliefs and traditions.

For more information, see our Tribal Language and Cultural Preservation Proposal. For the latest news on using cutting-edge media to preserve Native languages and cultures, see our Pictographs blog.

If you have questions, please contact Rob Schmidt, director of Turquoise Tales and publisher of Blue Corn Comics.
